I am interested on the development and evolution of the brain, which I study through mathematical modelling and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I have developed computational models to describe the global organisation of the sulcal anatomy of the human brain, and to simulate the gyrification of the cerebral cortex. My aim is to apply this theoretical framework to the analysis of the neuranatomical data.

Currently, I am working towards developing a description of the neuroanatomical variability of the normal human brain related to the genetic variability, as captured by high-throughput whole-genome genotyping. This description should allow us to better understand the neuroanatomical changes associated with different neurological disorders, and I am especially interested in the neuroanatomical changes associated with autism spectrum disorders.
